"Spleen Mcqueen" Photoshoped backgrounds

I did these in Photoshop for an in school internship for one of the Animation professors, John Serpentelli. I enjoyed doing these pieces and from that experience I learned so much more about Photoshop. Last time I heard, he's still working on it with others. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to help anymore, but I'm proud of what I contributed. He wanted a collage type back ground art, with found images from the web.

Layout & Background Art

A layout that was done in Layout and Design class. Yes, that's a random Teddy Bear sitting on a bench at the train station.

Rough Background sketch of a book shop in Japan(circa 1940's)

This background is a setting for my Korean-Japanese character Jinsoo, that was done in my Drawing for Animators class.

Backgrounds from my ORIGINAL Senoir Thesis

I really like these backrounds and even though I scrapped the idea of my original thesis, I plan to go back to these BG's and work on them. What do ya think? ^_^ But yep I really want to get better, since my goal is to become a storyboard artist.
