Urban Art Gallery- February 27th

At the Urban Art Gallery in West Philadelphia for the Youth Angels Scholars Art exhibit and fundraiser. Here I am, showcasing and selling my art.

I've met a talented artist named Chad Cortez Everette. He became a mentor to me during the Saturday Art classes that I attended last month. I learned a lot and he's teaching me how to network and get my art out there. His website link is below.

Afro-Asian Cross-Over current paintings for the series.

Greetings! It's been a while. At the end of February, I have an opportunity to showcase some of my art work at the Urban Art Gallery in Philadelphia. I'm vigorously trying to produce work between my Job schedule. The procrastination was strong during this winter season, but some days I pulled through. Like today for example. Here are some pics of what is completed or semi completed.

African style art meets natural hair and Korean language/culture.

The style is inspired from African art. The images are black women and their natural hair. Also, since I'm infatuated with the Korean language and culture, I threw that in there as well. Some are finished and others are still in progress. Hope to showcase this work soon.

Hamao Kyousuke Fanart. Touching the paint brush again!

Japanese stage and B-movie actor, Hamao Kyousuke is retiring at age 22 to pursue further education. Admirable right? Well, the young man has a lot of world wide fans who decided that we should create a farewell photo book filled with loving messages and art. I was given a task to do the Cover art, back art, and of course my message for the photo-book. What do you think?

Vampire Lestat, the wolf killer.

Currently painting this. It's unfinished! Now I'm going to add more darks. This is the vampire lestat and it's based off the second novel of the vampire chronicles. This idea popped randomly in my head and I felt inspired to create this piece. I haven't painted in two years and thought I would be bad, but it's actually coming along great!
